Article 1: Privacy Policy
"Recipick" (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as this "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").

Article 2: Personal Information
"Personal information" means "personal information" as defined in Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information. It refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual through a name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions contained in that information, as well as information that can identify a specific individual on its own, such as data relating to facial appearance, fingerprints, or voiceprints, and insurer numbers on health insurance cards (personal identification information).

Article 3: Methods of Collecting Personal Information
The Company may ask users for personal information, such as an email address, when they register to use the Service. The Company may also collect transaction records and payment information containing users' personal information relating to transactions between users and the Company's partners from those partners, including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distribution partners (hereinafter referred to as "Partners").

Article 4: Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:
To provide and operate the Company's services.
To respond to user inquiries, including verifying users' identities.
To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns, and other information concerning services users are using, as well as information about other services provided by the Company.
To contact users as necessary regarding maintenance, important notices, and similar matters.
To identify users who violate the Terms of Service or attempt to use the services for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to refuse their use of the services.
To allow users to view, change, or delete their registered information and view their usage status.
To charge users fees for paid services.
For purposes incidental to the purposes listed above.

Article 5: Changes to the Purposes of Use
The Company may change the purposes for which personal information is used only when the new purposes are reasonably considered to be related to the original purposes.

Article 6: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
Except in the cases listed below, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent. This does not apply where such provision is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.
Where it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
Where it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
Where cooperation is necessary for a national government agency, local public body, or a party entrusted by either to carry out duties prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual's consent could impede the performance of those duties.
Where the Company has notified the individual of, or publicly announced, the following matters in advance and has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
That the purposes of use include provision to third parties.
The means or methods of provision to third parties.
That provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped at the individual's request.
The method for accepting requests from the individual.
Where user information is provided to the transferee in connection with the conclusion of a business transfer agreement.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipients of information will not be considered third parties in the following cases:
Where the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to another party to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
Where personal information is provided in connection with the succession of a business due to a merger or other reason.
Where personal information is used jointly with specified parties, provided that the individual has been notified in advance, or the information has been made readily accessible to the individual, of that fact, the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of the parties using it jointly, their purposes of use, and the name of the person or entity responsible for managing that personal information.

Article 7: Disclosure of Personal Information
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company will disclose it to that individual without delay. However, the Company may withhold all or part of the information if disclosure would result in any of the following. If the Company decides not to disclose the information, it will notify the individual without delay. A fee of JPY 1,000 will be charged for each request for disclosure of personal information.
Where disclosure could harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party.
Where disclosure could significantly impede the proper conduct of the Company's business.
Where disclosure would otherwise violate laws and regulations.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the Company will, in principle, not disclose information other than personal information, such as historical information and information about user characteristics.

Article 8: Correction and Deletion of Personal Information
If a user's personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request that the Company correct, add to, or delete that information (hereinafter referred to as "Corrections") in accordance with the procedures established by the Company.
If the Company receives a request under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it will make the Corrections without delay.
If the Company makes Corrections under the preceding paragraph or decides not to make Corrections, it will notify the user without delay.

Article 9: Suspension of Use and Erasure of Personal Information
If an individual requests suspension of use or erasure of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use or was obtained by improper means, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
If, based on the results of the investigation under the preceding paragraph, the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it will carry out Suspension of Use without delay.
If the Company suspends use under the preceding paragraph or decides not to carry out Suspension of Use, it will notify the user without delay.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if Suspension of Use would entail substantial expense or is otherwise difficult, and alternative measures necessary to protect the user's rights and interests can be taken, the Company will take those alternative measures.

Article 10: Changes to the Privacy Policy
Except where otherwise provided by laws and regulations or this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying users.
Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect when it is posted on this website.
